Sometimes simple is not just better, it’s stunning!

That was the case for Madeline and Jesse’s wedding. Hosted at Wrigley Mansion, one of my favorite venues, the ambiance of the venue and view of the city were on full display. Captured perfectly by Megan Rae Photography (Website + Instagram). This was an intimate affair with the reception being in one of the smaller dining rooms and it oozed with elegance. There were so many candles and the flower arrangements done by Haleigh Brown (Website + Instagram) were incredibly beautiful.

The request for the outside of the cake was just a pure white buttercream and to place florals on a side of the cake which were to be provided by Haleigh. Love it!

Inside, Jesse and Madeline went for the decadent Red Velvet flavor on the bottom tier which is my red velvet cake, raspberry filling and cream cheese buttercream. The top tier had my personal favorite chocolate cake with a coffee buttercream for my signature Mocha flavor. You can see in the photos how wonderful of a contract you get in the cake cutting!

When placing flowers, it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to half and hour to make sure that I cut them, wrap them in cling wrap and then again in floral tape so they are safe enough to place into the cake. Thole time I got to see the other businesses putting their final touches on this beautiful wedding and it’s just an absolute pleasure.
