I knew from the initial conversations with Henna that this wedding was going to be something very special.

The inspiration photos provided were large, beautiful cakes all tastefully decorated in all white. After several design iterations, we finally decided on an all buttercream cake with buttercream design features such as a design stenciled on 2 of the tiers, a fondant border on the base tier and sugar paste details like the middle medallion and circular topper.

The inside of this cake is just as special as the outside. Henna opted to alternate cake flavors starting with vanilla cake, chocolate cake in the middle and then vanilla cake. Between the cake layers was a cream cheese cheesecake and a white chocolate mousse. A very decadent cake flavor combination!

To make sure that this cake arrived in perfect condition on the day of Henna & Shahbaz’s wedding, their wedding coordinator Karen from KDP Events and I planned the delivery of this cake during the wedding while guests were starting their dinner. While it’s always a little more stressful to set up with guests around, I was thrilled to see the wedding in action and to set up this wedding cake on such a beautiful table.
